About this compound
Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide is a synthetic 37-amino-acid analog of amylin, a peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin. It is a long-acting agonist at amylin and calcitonin receptors.
The structure includes a disulfide bridge between cysteine 2 and cysteine 7 and a C-terminal amide. The N-terminal lysine is acylated on its α-amine with 1,20-eicosanedioic acid through a γ-glutamate linker; the lysine side-chain amine is left free.
It is used in research on amylin and calcitonin receptor binding and on the pharmacology of lipidated peptides.
