About this compound

GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (Gly-His-Lys), coordinated in a 1:1 metal-to-peptide ratio.

Copper is chelated by the glycine α-amine, the deprotonated glycyl–histidyl amide nitrogen and the imidazole nitrogen of histidine, giving the complex its characteristic blue color in the solid state and in solution.

It is used in research on copper-peptide coordination chemistry and in cell-signaling studies involving copper-binding tripeptides.
