About this compound
Selank
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. Its first four residues are tuftsin, a tetrapeptide fragment of the immunoglobulin G heavy chain; the C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension was added to slow enzymatic degradation.
The peptide is unmodified, with free N- and C-termini.
It is used in research on tuftsin-analog signaling and in vitro neurochemistry.
